Nov 2002
NUS BINGO was founded by Mr Anderson Lim, Mr Samuel Ng, Mr Philip Tan, Mr Leslie Goh, Mr Winston Teo, Mr Tan Bee Thiam and Mr Alan Yong on 15th Nov 2002 with 40 over members.
Sept 2003
The first NUS-Motorola Technopreneurship Challenge was officially launched. This was a business plan competition co-organized by BINGO, NUS Faculty of Engineering and sponsored by Motorola. The closing ceremony was graced by Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam on the 26 March 2004.
Jan 2004
The 2nd Executive Committee participated in organizing the 5th Startup@Singapore. The event was co-organized by Alumni NUS Business School, NEC (NUS Entrepreneurship Centre) and NES (NUS Entrepreneurship Society).
Sept 2005
The first NUS Centennial Entrepreneurship Award (CEA) was graced by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports. The ceremony, which was solely organized by members of BINGO, recognized and celebrated the achievements of 22 successful entrepreneurs from various faculties in NUS. BINGO is the first student organization to organize entrepreneurship award ceremony in Asia.
Dec 2005
The first ever BINGO China Business Trip (CBT) was initiated and led by Mr Chen Yuanfeng, President of 2005/06 and accompanied by Mr Anderson Lim, NUS Official. The CBT team visited 12 universities and 13 companies over 9 cities in China within 18 days. The team met hundred of like minded students and a few successful entrepreneurs such as South East Asia Richest Man, Mr Robert Kuok for dialogue session in Hong Kong.
