2nd Entrepreneurship Awards 2007
Objective
The 2nd Entrepreneurship Awards has the twin aims of promoting entrepreneurship among the student population of the National University of Singapore and to reward outstanding established and upcoming entrepreneurs from among the NUS 140,000 strong alumni population.
NUS BINGO has structured the event so that a maximum number of students can attend to personally witness exceptional entrepreneurs who have graduated from NUS being rewarded for their achievements and telling their stories. This will inspire some to choose this career path and enlighten others of the viability of entrepreneurship as a career path. This event also aligns with the national policy for the promotion of entrepreneurship. Lastly, BINGO hopes to actively involve NUS alumni in this event, boosting their contribution to the university.
Mission:
1. To give recognition to prominent NUS Alumni entrepreneurs
2. To catalyze NUS students towards entrepreneurship
3. To create better interaction between the alumnus body and NUS so that they can make more contributions to the University.
History
The NUS Entrepreneurship Awards was inaugurated in 2005 as the NUS Centennial Entrepreneurship Awards (CEA) 2005. After the successful conclusion of the first event, NUS BINGO decided to give the event biennium status, due to the popularity and support it achieved, both amongst the alumni population being awarded and the student body.
